I first met Dougie when he was my sisters wedding photographer. I thought he was amazing then and my opinion has not changed.
Had a shoot today with my 2 year old and 10 week old little boys. Dougie made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and actually managed to get my toddler to smile. The proofs he sent me were gorgeous and I had such a hard time choosing the ones I wanted. Cannot wait to pick up my choices.
Would recommend this man to anyone no matter their photography needs.

Dougie works absolute wonders with adults and kids alike, putting them at ease. He's full of energy wirh great ideas and vision to produce FAB photos. My family and I had such a great time at our photo session and LOVE our photos! I highly recommend Douglas Cattanach Photography!
We couldn't thank Douglas enough for doing our wedding photography! We recommend him to all our friends and two of our friends are using him as their photographer. Dougie made us feel at ease and we even got pictures done before our wedding of us and our dog and he done brilliant with them too! Had my dog posing like a model! I would always use Douglas for any professional picture now.
Dougie put us at ease during our pre wedding day shoot. Making us feel relaxed and we were really happy with our shots from the studio that day. On our big day my eldery gran was adamant she was not getting in any photos due to being in a wheelchair and not feeling great. Dougie was an absolute star and talked her round. ( These photos are priceless as we lost her 6 weeks after the wedding) even our youngest guest at 1 years old fell for his charm. We couldnt be happier with his service and when the time comes to get another potrait done we certainly would not go anywhere else. Thank you again for all that you did for us.

Dougie recently photgraphed my little boy Kian who is 2. I had the photoshoot done as Kian is now very camera shy and I couldnt get any good photos of him at this age. From the minute we stepped in to his studio Dougie was amazing and so friendly with Kian making him more relaxed. Throughout the shoot Dougie played with Kian and done everything he could to get Kian smiling and laughing even when Kian was wrecking the studio props. The photos Dougie got were absolutely stunning. I cant recommend this guy enough what a fantastic photographer and person he is and we are so glad that we now also have him photographing our wedding in june.
We had Dougie as our wedding photographer and what an amazing job he done. From the planning stage Dougie was fab he andwered every question and put us at ease. On the big day he couldnt have relaxed us more when taking shots, our guests were made to feel at ease to during the pictures. One of our worries was that our daughter wouldnt co-operate being a fiesty 2year old at the time but the amount of energy Dougie put in to getting the best smiles deserves praise in itsself! We highly reccomend him to everyone and cannot thank him enough for the beautiful photos of a very special moment that he captured! We look forward to doing note work with him with our children.
We had the pleasure of having Dougie as our wedding photographer. From the moment we stepped into his studio at our first appointment we were welcomed with his great humour and ease, we booked there and then that day no hesitation (we had 2 other appointments with other photographers that day but canceled them straight after our appointment with Dougie) He did not disappoint on the day Dougie was very friendly with all guests and they loved and kindly posed for the photos for him. The weather wasn't on our side with clouds and rain (married on 20th December 2016) and Dougie had warned this may risk not getting pictures outside but he went out his way to scout around the grounds and found us a dry spot so we could have photos of us outside. He was great with kids. I don't think there was any time where we were stood waiting he was on point coming up with great photo opportunities.
Will definitely keep in pole position for any future events

Dougie recently photographed my wedding in December. I cannot recommend him enough! He makes you feel relaxed and at ease instantly, he has a way with people and all of our guests loved him! He accomodates all of your needs and requirements with no problems. Our pictures are just perfect and showcase our day perfectly. Dougie is fantastic with kids and getting them to smile which is no easy task!

Fantastic friendly atmosphere great with the kids. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else with my family. Dougie has done the last two family shoots for me and the finished results have been outstanding. Can't recommend highly enough.
Dougie recently did a family photo shoot for us back in August. It was completely chilled out and relaxed. Had a great laugh and pictures turned out amazing. We then booked him to do a shoot of us with our 3 Siberian Huskies. Dougie was amazing at keeping the dogs attention and entertaining them whilst snapping away! Pictures again turned out amazing. We look forward to seeing how our wedding pictures turn out as we have booked him for our wedding in 2018!
